Classic FM: Shakespeare on the Road

In collaboration with the University of Warwick; some very fine Shakespeare experts and the fantastic Maxine Peake, QP's audio documentary celebrated the relationship between the US and Britain's most famous playwright, in the year of the 400th anniversary of his death.

 

Broadcast on the biggest commercial station in the UK, Classic FM on the 4th July 2016, Independence Day, it featured audio collected from an extraordinary American road trip and featuring a huge cast of fascinating characters all creating their own Shakespeare productions, year after year, across the States.

 

With our best thanks to Dr. Paul Prescott, Paul Edmondson and AJ Leon for allowing us to work with them on this project, which we were thrilled to bring to Classic's huge audience.
